Untitled works abound in art and it's easy to understand why. I often feel that everything that I have to say I said with paint. I specifically choose abstract expressionist art as a break from language. But I also need to differentiate finished paintings. I've used numbers, letters, and nonsense. As part of my effort to promote humanism (in myself) I now use that term as a frequent placeholder for "untitled." Everything that I do, everything that you do falls under humanism.
